kaali puja

Kaali Puja is being celebrated in our lovely village with full festivity. Orchestra and drama are being organised in puwari tola whereas s.k.bahadur musical group (coming to this village for a long long time) is at pachhwari tola.
The scenes after huka-paati is quite amazing. People are going to each other's place for offering pranam to elder almost in whole the village and this scene makes us quite nostalgic about our village. The non resident chainpurian, who are not so fortunate to be in their village in kaali puja, always, perhaps feels sad to not be in their village. The scene after huka-pati as well as the scenes of kaali ma visarjan is overwhelming. Bole re Kaali May Ki jay.

kojagra

Today is kojagra. Today a good bhar containing "makhan and Paan" etc. is sent to the home of all newly wed grooms by the bride's side and the same will be distributed in the village and in their localities.
Kojagra is an important day for our village. From our childhood, we are waiting for this day when starting of construction of Kali murti takes place in both the kali ghar. We were used to skip the classes in primary/middle school and used to go to see the progress of the construction. We were taking the track of each days progress. This day is celebrated in our village for starting of Kaali Puja preparation also. May Maa Kaali take care of all the chainpurians.
