Chainpur-Mithila ke gaurav
CHAINPUR, MITHILA KA GAURAV, chainpur is one of the largest villages of Mithila. Almost maithil of all casts reside in this village.This village is situated at 10 km from Saharsa town, which is the District HQ.The structure of this village appears uniqe. All main roads of this village is straight and cut each other at right angles.Neelkanth Mandir, Kali mandir (new and old), Durga Mandir, Vishnu Mandir, Hanuman mandir are some religious places of this village. People of neighbouring villages are come for prayer to these mandirs.This village has produced a number of notable personalitis. Name of few are Late Pt. Shri Gangadhar Mishra, Late Pt. Shri Amritnath Jha, Late Pt. Shri Arjun Jha, Shri Kashi Nath Mishra, Pt. Shri kameshwar Jha, Pt. Madhu Kant Jha "Madhukar" etc. Shri Gangadhar Jha, Shri D.N.Thakur, Late Shri Jaydev Thakur "ghughur babu", Shri Uma Nath Jha are notable in the field of government service.This village has given more than 500 engineers who are serving in various organisation.Kali Puja is the main festival of this village. Holi (phagua) is also celebrated with lot of zest and fervour.

I, Shyamal Kishor jha of this great village(Pandit Tola),working with Tata Steel Jamshedpur as an Aministrative Officer,writting Geet, Gazal,Kavita,Article, Hasy-vyangya etc. in Hindi as well as Maithili psydonyms - Shyamal Suman.

myself sanjay jha chainpur (durga sthan)working as section officer in Ministry of Railways, Delhi.
Durga puja has been celebrated religiously in our village.Dawn to dusk citation of Durga Saptshati made all the localities full of religious centiments. New Durga mandir is almost under completion.
Villager hve started for kali puja preparation.
Today is Kojagra, wish all chainpurvasi a very happy kojagra.
